MacKay & McLean was founded in 1976 by Sterling G. McLean and David G. MacKay, senior partners. Currently, our firm has three partners, two associates, three full-time legal assistants, some who have been with the office for more than a decade, an experienced bookkeeper, and the potential to grow.

Articling Students

When articling opportunities are available, Robert MacKay has assisted a number of students successfully complete their studies, articles, bar course and successfully transition into the practice of law.

With over a century in legal experience between partners and council, the references and guidance, allot you the tools and direction to deal with most matters.

Your position and opportunities would include providing legal analysis and research, writing, and drafting documents including briefs, pleadings, petitions, and answers. Billing and time management also brings the business knowledge that may ensure longevity in the practice.

With a focus on ensuring that students are exposed to broad areas of law and to help ensure that you obtain as much courtroom experience as possible. Attendance at court will often include your participation and not just attendance.
